Hello, from Adams Friendship Middle (AFMS), We are excited to join the Global Read Aloud for 2019 and look forward to making new global connections. AFMS is located in Adams, WI and has a school population of about 435 students. We will have 2 blocks of 6th grade students making connections.
ReplyDeleteWe are from Regina Elementary in Iowa City, IA. Our school has about 450 students in grades K-6. One of our 5th grade classes will be reading The Bridge Home. Last year we loved the GRA and are looking forward to more connections.

ReplyDeleteHi, I’m Joey. I am 13 and I go to Jack Hille Middle School, and I’m in 8th grade. I live in in Oak Forest Illinois. My school has about 600 students. My favorite food is probably pizza. Pizza is a type of meal in America that is made with bread with sauce, cheese, and toppings on top of it. There are many different kinds too.

My favorite food is chicken strips; if you don’t have chicken strips, they are breaded pieces of chicken that are so delicious everyone should try them. They’ll be your favorite too!

My favorite food is pizza which if you don’t know what pizza is, it can either be shaped as a triangle or rectangle, and it's crust with sauce and cheese on top with any toppings you like.
I like Beggar's pizza. and it is a restaurant close to where I live.
Do they only sell pizza there?

Hi, my name is Jalin Mittelstadt, I go to Jack Hille Middle School. I live in Oak Forest, IL. My favorite food is tamales; for those of you who don’t know what those are, they are sort of cylinder and are made of chicken mixed with a green or red sauce. Then you wrap it in a kind of flour called masa harina. After that, you wrap it in dried corn husks. I am in 8th grade and am super excited to be doing the GRA and getting to know all of you guys!

That is my absolute favorite food/ meal. I just love the textures of bacon, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and bread. The bacon, turkey, and lettuce make the sandwich taste cold which just tastes so amazing.
